Project Background

George Williams College is the Training School for YMCA in the UK and further afield.

Primarily and historically focussing on Informal Education and Youth Work courses the college was seeking to realign itself with the needs of local YMCA’s in Ireland, Scotland, England & Wales by developing and delivering training which YMCA’s serving the local communities require.

Project Solution

LeadershipWorx were commissioned by George Williams College to conduct a perception survey and training audit throughout YMCA in the UK to ascertain the strength of relationship between local YMCA’s and National Councils and also to identify the common training requirements held by YMCA’s.

Project Impact

After visiting 17 YMCA’s a full perception and training audit was produced and proposals made to the board of YMCA George Williams College for discussion and in preparation for their strategic development plan.
